Will the turntable continue spinning?

Whilst surfing the net, the picture of my Rega Planar 3 suddenly popped in to my mind. I have not been using it for quite a while. Now what Taky told me at one point of time holds true - what's the point of buying hi-fi when most of the time will be spent on the road. That was in 1992. True enough, working with consultant back then was really taking most of my time and by the time I reached home it was already late. Until now I think less than 10 times that the good old turntable was really spinning the LPs I brought home. The belting was changed twice over the 17 years since I was back in Malaysia with the replacement coming from Jln Pudu shop - no need expensive original belt. Back during the college days, one of the first LP I bought was Gloria Estefan; my housemate used to play the same but a CD almost everyday. The song reminds me of the house I was living in Park Street, fronting a post office near a fish and chip shop. Love the mood, the air, the colour...view of green hills as a backdrop of the vista I had from my bedroom window. I could hear the sound of trains plying the valley routes either from Merthyr Tydfil, Aberdare or Treherbert to Cardiff Central.

After 17 years, I am abroad again, working and leaving behind my wife and kids. Life goes on searching for something.

The turntable may have stopped spinning.....or perhaps I should give a try when I am home. Surely will. Missed home.
